As the Senior Copywriter, I wrote copy for digital campaigns, product pages, behind-the-brand pages, social media posts, and print assets.
Campaign Work: Email
As part of our "Curl Boss" campaign, we were tasked with elevating our curly hair care products while showcasing inclusivity. The idea behind the campaign was to empower women of all types of curly hair to take charge and be the boss of their hair—a play on the popular "Girl Boss" trend at the time. For this project, the challenge was to create an email that focused on events, with a lot of content included in a small space. I collaborated closely with the senior designer to break down each event into bite-sized pieces of information that would inspire customers to attend events hosted by hair brand founders and stylists. This email alone was successful because it encouraged customers to participate in several giveaways and tutorial events and post on social media. It even led to a significant increase in online and in-store sales. The analytics from this project demonstrated that even the smallest pieces of content can significantly boost customer loyalty and revenue.
Campaign Work: Site
We wanted components for this campaign to felt like a playground for every curly hair care type out there. The copy and layout were made to empower customers to find the perfect product for their hair type. This copy was just one component of our 360 “Curl Boss” campaign.
“Behind the Brand” Site Copy
One of my favorite projects was working on the "Behind the Brand" pages. I collaborated with the marketing and merchant teams to create messaging that showcased each beauty brand's unique collection.
Email Banners
I created dozens of banner ads that appeared at the bottom of promotional emails to encourage customers to click and shop these featured products.
Blog Posts
About once a month, I would write a post for Sephora.com’s community blog, “What’s New Wednesday.” For this post, I featured Kopari, a clean skincare brand, breaking down the benefits of using the brand's coconut oil-powered products.
In-App Copy
I wrote in-app copy for “The Daily,” including this exclusive mobile-only offer for Kat Von D Beauty.
Product Page Copy
I wrote and edited copy for numerous product pages on Sephora.com, including new, high-profile collections and rush assignments with immediate turnaround.
